Sports
IQA’s athletics program offers students the opportunity to compete, develop confidence, and build teamwork skills. Students can participate in basketball, soccer, volleyball, track, cross-country, tennis, badminton, and ping pong. Our teams compete through the Texas Charter School Academic and Athletic League (TSCAAL).
Yearbook
The Yearbook Club is responsible for designing and producing IQA’s annual yearbook. Students collaborate on photo selection, layout design, writing, and editing. The club allows students to strengthen creativity, writing, photography, and teamwork while documenting the year’s most meaningful moments.
PSIA
PSIA provides academic competition opportunities for students in grades 1–8 across subjects such as math, science, writing, social studies, and more. Students learn sportsmanship, critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving while competing with peers across Texas.
Art
IQA’s Art Club encourages students to express themselves creatively through drawing, painting, design, and mixed media. Students learn artistic techniques, explore different mediums, and work on individual and group projects that bring imagination to life. The club promotes creativity, confidence, and hands-on learning in a supportive environment.
Calligraphy
The Calligraphy Club introduces students to the beauty and discipline of traditional handwriting and Islamic artistic styles. Students practice pen control, lettering techniques, and decorative design. The club helps develop patience, focus, and appreciation for the heritage of written art.
MIST
The Muslim Interscholastic Tournament (MIST) gives high school students a platform to compete in academics, arts, writing, public speaking, and team-based challenges — all while learning leadership, creativity, and Islamic values. MIST fosters community, excellence, integrity, and fun through regional and national competitions across the U.S. and Canada.
Students at IQA who participate in MIST develop confidence, problem-solving skills, teamwork, and a strong sense of identity while joining a nationwide community of motivated Muslim youth.
